We are seeking highly skilled and detail-oriented individuals to design, curate, and maintain a robust question bank for our online assessment module. The Curriculum Specialists will collaborate with product teams to ensure that all questions align with state standards, support diverse learners, and provide accurate measurement of student learning outcomes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Curriculum & Instruction, or related field.
- Minimum 3–5 years of classroom teaching, curriculum development, or assessment writing experience.
- Strong knowledge of state and national academic standards.
- Experience writing and reviewing high-quality assessment items across multiple formats.
- Familiarity with item metadata tagging, Bloom’s Taxonomy, and Webb’s Depth of Knowledge.
- Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.
- Experience with online assessment systems or edtech platforms preferred.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive, standards-aligned question bank across multiple grade levels and subject areas (ELA, Math, Science, Social Studies, etc.).
- Write clear, accurate, and age-appropriate assessment questions, including multiple-choice, constructed response, performance tasks, and technology-enhanced items.
- Align questions to state and national standards (e.g., Common Core, NGSS, state-specific benchmarks).
- Review, edit, and validate existing questions for accuracy, readability, and instructional relevance.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure questions reflect classroom needs and assessment best practices.
- Apply principles of universal design for learning (UDL) and accessibility to ensure equitable assessment experiences.
- Contribute to item metadata (e.g., difficulty level, standard alignment, depth of knowledge, cognitive rigor).
- Stay current with trends in curriculum development, assessment design, and instructional technology.
